And sometimes I get to photograph the furry member And sometimes I get to photograph the furry members of the family. Those are very fun days. I love to get to play with a dog while I work.
Nothing makes a better picture than being able to Nothing makes a better picture than being able to organically capture pure joy on someones face. Most of the time on a wedding day it's so easy to find joy and love all over.
There was a wedding I went to several years ago wh There was a wedding I went to several years ago where every single person was dressed in bright beautiful colors. The room was filled with any color you could think of. So I guess I really did stand out in my all black. A nice gentleman walked over to me and asked why I wear black. Over the next few years in random moments of a wedding that conversation would cross my mind and I would think, "oh yeah, that's why I wear black". As a wedding photographer I like to blend into things. I want to be able to creep through the sides of a church or around any ceremony without distracting guests. If I had bright colors I would definitely catch people's eyes easier. Guests also tend to know that if you are wearing all black you are working the wedding and can answer their questions.
So much planning goes into a wedding. There are so So much planning goes into a wedding. There are so many little details that you have to decide on. When I first get to a wedding that's what I get to play with. I love to see the flowers, rings, invitations and other little things that have been chosen to represent a couple on this big day.
Sometimes at the end of a session you get a cupcak Sometimes at the end of a session you get a cupcake. True, it's usually at a 1 year old session or a cake smash session but still. If there's a chance of a cupcake I'm in.
