Getting to meet the Gallagher family was a perfect addition to my fall sessions. I am an introvert. I would love to be a person that can post videos of myself talking about photography. I’d love to show more of my personality online so I could connect with my clients more. But it is definitely a struggle for me.
So when I have a session coming up with new people I haven’t met I can’t help but worry. I worry about how organically conversation will come and if I’ll connect well. I could tell from the beginning that the Gallagher family were going to be a fun bunch. Everyone came right up and introduced themselves. We were able to start chatting instantly and that always makes the images come easily.
You’d think after all these years of photography, I would realize that this is what happens most of the time and not to worry. But my brain doesn’t always follow that logic. I always walk away from these sessions with a smile and happy to have gotten to meet new and interesting people. There were so many fun personalities and smiles to record with this group. I appreciate so much when the internet brings these clients to me. I hope this will be a group that I get to see and photograph again in the future.
